The statue of Liverty (La Liberté éclairant le monde) was always a huge inspiration for me. I am a fan of the neoclassical art and I consider this sculpture as one of the best ever made. It represents so many things to so many people. To me, is a representation of freedom and independence. The embodying hope of being free of oppressors, dictators or even people like bossing around and being authoritative to others for their own gain. I used white charcoal on the highlights to give that feeling of hope.

I made this drawing of the statue of liberty using 8b, 3b, f, 2h, 5h Faber-Castell pencils and black and white charcoal on a sketch paper.
